About the Project

There is no controversy in saying that the duo of S&T paves the way for the development of a country. Aligned with this stand, recently governments and policy makers have started emphasising the introduction of Such S&T devices, methodologies, products suitable to geographical location, environment and social fabric. One step ahead, idea of innovation is taking shape in everyone’s mind and a number of new and innovation techniques have been developed in the field of S&T. But a large number of populations from higher Himalaya are not aware about these initiatives run by government of India and state government. Therefore, to full fill these gaps, this initiative has been taken in the form of proposed project.

Objective

  • To identify the core problems, issues and possible solution in Uttarakhand through secondary sources and performa as we developed.
  • Inventorization and Mapping of identified issues in relevant sectoral areas of the entire state requiring S&T intervention based on secondary resources.
  • 3. Documentation of project finding.

STATE LEVEL INITIATIVES ON LOCALISING THE SDGs:

  • Communication, Awareness generation and Advocacy on SDGs.
  • Institutional Mechanisms for Following ‘Whole of-Government’ Approach.
  • Aligning Local Plan with SDG.
  • Good examples of inter sectoral approaches to achieve SDGs.
  • SDG Monitoring
  • SDG based Budgeting
  • Partnerships
