Research Day Celebrations at Graphic Era University

RESEARCHERS AND TOP PERFORMERS OF GATE EXAM, FELICITATED AT GRAPHIC ERA UNIVERSITY

"Where there is a will there is a way"
With this remarkable quote Graphic Era University organised a felicitation ceremony for all meritorious researchers and the GATE crackers. Cash prizes worth Rs. 25 Lakhs were awarded among the achievers of excellence.
The Director General of UCOST Dr. Rajendra Dobhal was present as Chief Guest to the Ceremony. Dr.Ankush Mittal, Director Research Graphic Era University, quoted that the function is to felicitate and motivate the teachers and students. He also mentioned that Graphic Era is setting its own standard in the field of research, Graphic era published more number of indexed papers as compared to other institutes of national repute which itself is a great achievement for the University. There are research projects worth more than 15 crores being carried out in the University. Graphic era received 2 best paper awards for e-governance.
Ten faculties were awarded wotj cash prizes for their excellent research work. Dr. PravennPatilRs. 174000, Dr. Nitin Khanna Rs. 148310, DrAnkush Mittal Rs. 123487, Dr. PawanEmaniRs. 122074, Dr. B.S. JassalRs. 118163, Dr. Mange Ram Rs. 110000. Dr. Ashish ThapliyalRs. 93616, Dr. PK Sharma Rs. 79680, Dr. Anju Rani Rs. 62346 and Dr. R GwariRs. 58,263/-. In addition to this Rs. 1 Lak Cash prize was awarded to Dr. PuneetGoyal for excellence in Research work and mentoring students. Under his guidance the students of B.Tech Syed Mohd Ali, Vaibhav Pandey and Subodhkumar won third prize in National Finals of Microsoft Imagine Cup 2014, MeghaSarswat received Special Jury award during Regional finals of Prestigious IET Indian Scholoarship Regional Finals. TanyKukreja participated in 2014 summer workshop on Design and Innovation at IIT Delhi she was one among 25 selected students from across the country. The students of Graphic Era University have also received more than 100 online courses certification from world reputed Universities.
Eight Students are awarded cash prize of Rs 10,000/- each for securing more than 99 percentile in gate (Abhishek Ranjan, Gaurav Singh Chuphal, Monika Singh, VisheshParshv, NamanGoyal, Harsh Pandey, Kamini Gupta and Mayank Bhatt)
Dr.KamalGhanshala President Graphic Era University mentioned that these awards are not only for the class room teachings but are for motivating students and channelizing them in right direction.
,Dr.SanjayJasola, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University said that as a reasearcher one must avoid the cut, copy and paste culture and should go for high quality research and should get their paper published in the international conferences.
Chief guest for the ceremony Dr.RajendraDobhal DG UOST,in his address conveyed his warm wishes to the mentors who moulded the students for getting qualified in GATE and told that what actual meaning Innovation has.This ceremony not only felicitated students and teachers but also gave a message to how to achieve a success in life. The Chancellor of University Prof. Dr. RC Joshi, Chancellor Prof. Dr. VK Tiwari, Pro Chancellor Prof. Dr. AK Awasthi, Dean Research Prof. Dr. Praveen Patil, the Directors, Deans and HODs of variousDepartments alongwith faculties and staff members and students were present on the occasion.
