Review meeting of the project titled “E-Waste Management in Dehradun and Rudraprayag-Realizing the E-Waste to Resource Potential” was held at, Dehradun, Uttarakhand

A meeting of the project titled “E-Waste Management in Dehradun and Rudraprayag-Realizing the E-Waste to Resource Potential” was held on September 29, 2022, at Kandoli, Dehradun, in joint collaboration with the Ministry of Environments, Forests, and Climate Change (GoI) under the National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NHMS), UCOST and SPECS Dehradun. Dr. Brijmohan Sharma, Secretary, SPECS and the project’s co-principal investigator, present the progress made under the project. ‘National Institute of Himalayan Environment’ (NIHE) expert Govind Ballabh Pant Er. (Dr) Jagdeesh Pandey, Dr. Brijmohan Sharma, Secretary and CO-PI of the project, Kireet Kumar, Former Director & Scientist-G-Center Head, UCOST officials Dr. D.P. Uniyal, Joint Director and CO-PI of the project, Dr. M.S. Rawat, Scientific Officer and SPECS  were present. The discussion at the meeting focused on the development of the “E-Waste Management in Dehradun and Rudraprayag-Realizing the E-Waste to Resource Potential” project. Dr. Rawat and Dr. Uniyal also briefed about progress made under the project. The former Director and Scientist-G Er. Kireet Kumar reviewed the progress and appreciates the progress done so far.  He also discussed about the future prospects of the project. Besides this, he advised for the submission of Progress Report and a concept note for a potential extension of the project.
