Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on a theme “Future Technologies” Organized by online mode on 27th May, 2022

Council organized Vigyan Utsav on a theme “Future Technologies” as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 27th May, 2022 in collaboration with DST, GoI, New Delhi through online mode. Dr Aparna Sharma, Senior Scientific Officer, UCOST  coordinated the session. In the inaugural address, Dr Debapriya Dutta, Advisor, SEED Deviosn, DST, GoI, New Delhi emphasized on the state specific issues in respect to STI ecosystem.  Dr D.P. Uniyal, Joint Director, UCOST, Dehradun gave a welcome address, he told that council is organizing this program regularly since last year on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.  In the inaugural address, Shri G.S.Rautela, Advisor Science City, Dehradun shed light on the future technologies and effects of them in human life.  Dr Kailash N. Bhardwaj, In-charge RSC, Dehradun delivered a lecture on “Contribution of Council in development and extension of Future Technologies”. In the technical session Dr Anjan Ray, Director, CSIR-IIP, Dehradun; Dr Anurag Varshney, Vice President & Head, Patanjali Research Institute; Dr Pramod Kumar, Scientist- ‘G’, ISRO-IIRS, Dehradun and Dr Varun Sharma, IIT Roorkee shared their view on future technologies in different sectors. They told that how technology will change our life in coming years.  Dr Aparna Sharma, Senior Scientific Officer, UCOST gave a vote of thanks to all the speakers and participants. Dr Rashmi Sharma, Scientist E, DST, GoI;  Dr Ravikant Prajapati, Scientist, DST, GoI; CDAC, Council’s representatives  and other Scientists, Faculty members, Researchers, Students, UCOST & RSC staff etc. were present during the program.
