Chief Secretary Govt. of Uttarakhand , Dr S.S. Sandhu Visited UCOST, Vigyan Dham

Chief Secretary Govt. of Uttarakhand , Dr S.S. Sandhu Visited UCOST, Vigyan Dham along with shri Dilip Jawalkar, Secretary Finance visited Regional Science Center at UCOST, Vigyan Dham on 1st October today. Dr DP Uniyal, Joint Director, UCOST and Shri. Amit Pokhriyal, Manager, Public Relations welcomed him to the center. Dr Sandhu was intended to know more about major peaks and related information in Himalaya gallery of the center. During his guided visit, he was also briefed about important information related to origin of the Himalayas, it’s geology, geography, culture, biodiversity, tourism and impact of climate change through interactive exhibits by center in-charge Dr Kailash Bhardwaj. He also visited other galleries, innovation hub, planetarium, AI Skill Lab and enjoyed 3D science film show. Officers of council briefed him about upcoming ambitious science city, council’s ongoing program, activities and future plans for promotion of S&T in the state. At the end of his visit, Dr Sandhu said that RSC is an excellent resource in the state and people should visit it. He appreciated the work of council and gave directions & suggestions to strengthen its major activities. Officers and staff of the council and RSC were present on the ocassion.
