Meetings at GBPUA&T, Pantanagar & UCB Haldi

A meeting was held on 5th Nov, 2022 between the Director General, UCOST Prof Durgesh Pant and Hono’ble Vice Chancellor, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar Prof M.S. Chauhan. During the meeting several possibilities were discussed to leverage Science & Technology and mutual solutions for the issues relevance to both the organizations which are important to bolster the Agri- economy of the state were discussed. During his visit to the School of Agriculture & Technology, several possible projects were discussed with Prof Samant Ray, researchers and students.

Later Prof. Pant visited Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology, Haldi, Pantnagar and met Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Director, UCB and Scientist/Researchers working on several projects. During the meeting it was discussed that how mutually both the organization can jointly work for the State in the field of Science & Technology and particularlyin the field of Biotechnology for livelihood generation. He visited various facilities at UCB. Prof Pant also interacted with student group from Nepal and invited them for a visit at Regional Science Center, UCOST, Dehradun.
