Villagers learn and earn with eco­bamboo lamps

Lighting  up  lives  |  As  part  of  Art  of  Living’s  rural  development  programme, city volunteers have adopted villages Ransai and Borkhar
As  part  of  the  organisation’s  Rural  Development  project,  city­ based  Art  of  Living  volunteers  have  come  up  with  a  unique  initiative  to light up villagers’ life. The  volunteers  have  adopted  a  few  villages  on  the  outskirts  of  Navi Mumbai  and  have  created  employment  opportunities  for  them,  that  too  in an eco­friendly manner. One  such  initiatives  launched  by  Shankar  Ninave,  an  Art  of  Living  teacher,  is  the  production  of  eco­ friendly bamboo lamps.
